Where are some fun and cheap places to go and see in Downtown? |
Travel Info Is there cheap places to see in Downtown Chicago - Are there cheap boat rides ... is there a Woolworth Downtown still ? Travel Tips You might want to consider taking one of the trolley bus tours. It takes you around the entire city. If there is a place you want to get off the bus (i.e. the aquarium etc) you can get off spend time there and then get back on another trolley/bus where you got off and your tour continues. You can get on and off as often as you like. A new bus (following the same route) comes by about every half hour. This gives you a great overall feel for the city, the history and what to do. The architectural boat tour is also very neat. gives you a great perspective of the city. Others I always like going to Grant Park and seeing the fountain. Watertower Place is cool, just to see what they have and to ogle the prices they charge for the same stuff in the suburbs. You could go to Navy Pier and rent a bike and ride around the city or go on a river tour, I think it's about $20 per person. Hello, Woolworth is out of business, sorry. They have CVS and Walgreens. You could go to Navy Pier. Navy Pier is one of those places you can either do cheap or expensive. There are varying prices on boat rides, however, they do have cheaper ones. You can go to their website and check it out. http://www.navypier.com/home.html... You could also go to Millenium Park. That's free, and it is a very nice park. Water Tower and Michigan Ave. are also fun. I love looking around in the Hershey shop near Water Tower. It's so much fun, and you don't have to buy anything. |
