Where should i take my 15 year old cousin in chicago? |
Travel Info Well my cousin is coming from out of town to visit me. Well I stay in Chicago and i was wondering what are some places I should take her within the City of Chicago. Also I need alot of places because she is going to be here for about two weeks or even more. Travel Tips To a baseball game! Others shopping to the movies sight seeing Most definitely to eat at some the local restaurants. Chicago is known for their awesome food! When I was 15 I loved going to Navy Pier. Also try going to the beach for the day. If you go to a Chicago Public Library you can get free passes for the Shed. Navy Pier. My aunt took me there when I was around that age and it was fun. The boats and water and festivities and good food will keep you two busy!! Kids seem to love ESPN zone for the arcade I am 15 years old and came back from Chicago last night after only a 2 day trip with my aunt. I don't know where your niece is from but we dint want to go to places that we had at home (baltimore). We got to chicago around 9 so for dinner we went to the Webber Grill. The food was AMAZING especially the steaks. The next day we started by going to Wicker Park- the area was nice, a couple nice stores, very bohemian. It was not my favorite place but was not too bad. After Wicker Park we took a bus to Lincoln Park and like Armitage Street. This was my favorite area the shopping was amazing. Make sure you get a frozen drink at Ethels candy bar. I highly suggest going there. From Lincoln Park we took a cab to go see a 7:00 show of the blue man group. I have seen them before, they are always AMAZING. You should defiantly take her to see them at the Briar Street Theatre. After the show was over we went to Millennium Park. It closes at 11 so we had plenty of time. The big park/grass area is so cool. Also take her to see the bean, the reflection of the city on it is just amazing. My favorite part of MIllennium Park were the fountains. I'm not sure if the water will be on when your there but they are so fascinating and cool. The next day we took a boat architecture tour at 9:00. I suggest you take the one that links with the Architecture Foundation on Chicago or something like that. I thought it was really cool, and informative. From there we went to Old Town and shopped on the expensive street i think was called oak street. I LOVED THIS AREA. Te shops and boutiques were really nice. We ate at a restourant called O'brians, the food was delicious, we ate outside and it was really nice. Hope that helped! |
