Question about six flags great america (chicago)?

Travel Info
how much are tickets?
are there any deals (buy one get one free, bring a pepsi/coke can, family pack e.tc)?
is it a good park?

Travel Tips
tickets r around $40-50. a way to get deals is by purchasing a season pass, which lets you get in for free after showing the pass. as a season pass holder, you recieve a coupon book with coupons. some coupons are for the stores in the park, and others for food. there are also coupons for bringing a friend or someone you know to the park for 1/2 price or other reduced amounts. so if you plan to go there a lot, the season pass is a great choice. and yes, the park is great. there are cool shows (for example this lady ACTUALLY hypnotizes audience volunteers- and its not fake), fun rides, and a lot of room/ its a big park. you should go.. Other Travel Tips
They are about 50.00. I love it there, I try to go every summer with my sister but this year we cannot afford it. Bring a coke can and save $20.00 that is your best deal rite now. And buy them on-line sometimes you can get family discounts that way but then you cannot use your coke can. Have fun!!
Esthie - The cost of tickets varies with where you buy them. At Six Flags tickets cost $54.99 for adults and $34.99 for children over age 3. Children under age 3 are FREE. You can also buy tickets on-line at a $10 savings. Some grocery stores in the Chicago area sell them at a $7 discount. Also you can get a season pass for $94.99 (if you buy 4 or more tickets at the same time). Season passes are good for unlimited visits to Six Flags.

I have three children (20, 19 and 14) so every year I get season passes. My husband and I have been to Six Flags once this season. My 14 year old son has been at least 5 times, my other two kids at least twice.

Six Flags is a GREAT park. It's open every day from Memorial Day to Labor Day (and on weekends until the end of October) from 10 am to about 10 pm. There are rides for every taste (I love the balloon rides while my kids prefer the roller coasters). Six Flags also has an in-park water park with a wave pool. There are lots of different shows to go to between rides.

Downside, very crowded, long lines. And, the Chicago area in the summer is HOT and HUMID.
