Zanies Comedy Club? |
Travel Info Has anyone heard or ever gone to Zanies Comedy club... if so how was it did you like it? I will tell you one thing I been there once and it was great seems like they have some good comedians come in and out of there.... also if you never been there have you ever seen any comedian live on stage if so who? and how good was the comedian. Travel Tips I've been to Zanies a few times, though not recently, and it was great. I didn't see the TOP comedians but I did see Bobby Slayton (he played Joey Bishop in the recent Rat Pack movie), Ali LeRoy (he was a writer for the Chris Rock show and a co-writer on Rock's movie "Pootie Tang") and a local guy Larry Reeb who is a deadpan comedian but HILARIOUS. I've seen other comedians feature there on HBO, Comedy Central, etc. I've had a good time everytime, but try to stay out of the front row! When I saw Bobby Slayton, he good-naturedly picked on this one guy in the front row for the whole show. There are also a couple of other places in the city that feature stand up comedy, though the material is not as polished and great as Zanies. Check out Time Out Chicago magazine. They have a whole section on the weekly comedy shows. Others No I am sorry I have not. I have never been to Chicago but would like to go one day. Yup. Both to the one downtown and the one in St. Charles. They are good clubs. |
