Online site to find a motel/hotel for cheap? |
Travel Info hey...second question...(the first one isn't really being answered...) is there an online website that I can check to find a hotel/motel room for $50 or less around the Joliet IL area for this saturday night to sunday morning (we can't stay with my family overnight) thanks Travel Tips You need to get comfortable with using search engines like www.google.com ... just key in "Joliet IL" and motel which gets you this page http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22... "Joliet IL" in quotes to only get both together, not be inundated by listings that only have IL, or maybe there's another Joliet elsewhere in country ... double check spelling so you get the ones spelled right as opposed to only the ones that misspel same way as you. If there is a swimming pool for example, that costs them something in upkeep, so they need to charge a wee bit more money to their customers for each and every nice thing that is there Someone else mentioned Yellow Pages ... I absolutely agree ... hotel motel chains with more money will advertise on Internet ... they have more money because they charge more. So you have to know how to get to the Yellow Pages on line, then drill down to the communty you interested in, and the topic you interested in. So key this into a search engine "Yellow Pages" "Joliet IL" Motel Hotel Lodging http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22... What we are doing here is a compound search. We want to look at the Yellow Pages for that city for a particular kind of category this has connections such as http://www.switchboard.com/hotels_&_mote... http://www.allpages.com/listings/c/c-109... they in turn list the same kinds of places from the earlier search, and also a link to LEES INNS which I told you in another post was one of my favorite places for many reasons that might not be important to you but also places like 40% off on reservations http://www.priceline.com/hotels/default.... Some public libraries have yellow pages from other cities, but that can be a time consuming exercise. It not convenient to phone from library, so you need a lot of change for photo copy machine. I find that the chain hotels (more expensive hotels) are listed on the internet, but there are plenty of hotels just listed in the yellow pages. Your family is nearby make sure it is clean enough. all u do is write on google search "motel/hotel cheap ' and u will get alla the websites devoted to tht... also write the name of the area where u want it... and u will get it all.... |
