Where can i park @ Wrigley Field? |
Travel Info whats the best place and that is very reasible in price to park? & is the RTA run throught weekdays thx soo mu! Travel Tips I used to work at The Sports Authority in a Chicago suburb and we actually sold Cubs parking passes for about $10. I recommend parking at the furthest one from the park for three reasons. 1. The further you are from the park, the cheaper the parking. 2. The further you are from the park, the less traffic there is after the game. 3. The further you are from the park, the further you have to walk. Which is probably a good idea after eating hot dogs and drinking beer for nearly 3 hours. Just go to The Sports Authority, Dick's Sporting Goods or Sportmart and ask if they still sell parking passes for Cubs games. Others Go to this site: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/chc/ballpark... There are many lots around the field that charge about $20 for game parking - lots on Addison like the McDonald's, Taco Bell, and there is a large lot on the corner of Addison and Freemont. However, many of these fill up fast and traffic is a nightmare near Wrigley before and after the games. It may be easier, and will certainly be cheaper to take the CTA - either take the red line to Addison and you're literally at the gates of the field, or take one of the many bus routes that passes by Wrigley (Clark, Addison, Irving Park, etc) Just don't park on the street without the proper permits, you will get a ticket and really make residents (like myself) angry when we cannot park in our own neighborhood. Rule #1 in Wrigleyville...thou shalt not park in a business parking lot or thou shalt be towed by the evil, evil Lincoln Towing. There are literally dozens of places that will let you pay to park in their lot...but they're neither cheap nor free. Instead, park your car over on Foster and Kedzie by North Park College...loads of free onstreet parking and spend a couple of bucks to take the Brown line to Wrigley Field. The Brown line starts right there with the Lawrence El station, so you automatically get a seat...and your car is in a decent neighborhood and you easily drive away. Parking by Wrigley is never a good idea...but driving around Wrigley after a game is pure insanity. |
