Good bar / lunch spot near Wrigley Field for pre-game festivities? |
Travel Info We're heading to Wrigley for a Cubs game on Saturday and would like to stop at a nearby bar for some beers and a decent lunch. Any suggestions? Travel Tips Goose Island has a beer garden out back that for some reason is rarely busy after games (even after the Cubs/Sox game). One of the best hidden gems of the city. Others Wish they would've let me pick a best answer in time since I just went this wknd. Thanks for the suggestions. You're right - there are so many places to choose from. I wound up going to Casey Moran's (great food/decent beer) and the Cubby Bear (great for a 2nd bar after you've had a few). Billy Goat Tavern You can't walk around wrigley field without tripping over a bar or restaurant. There are about a million bars and restaurants on the streets leading to Wrigley Field, particularly on clark Street. The website below lists most of the bars and restaurants, as well as where to shop and even stay. http://www.outoftheballpark.com/... http://www.outoftheballpark.com/areamap_... Oh, there's so many around there, up and down Clark Street and Sheffield, surrounding the ball park - some of my favorites are Neighbors, the Cubby Bear, and John Barleycorn, and Goose Island. You won't go wrong at any of them, they all cater to the pre and post game crowd. |
