Does anyone know how much utilities would cost on average for a 2 bedroom apt in Chicago? |
Travel Info It's almost 1000 sq ft. I have to pay for electricity and gas. I've never payed for utilities before so if anybody can tell me an estimate, I would really appreciate it. Thanks. Travel Tips There's a very wide range. Many buildings provide heat, but not electricity, in your rent. Some provide gas, others do not. I have a similar sized unit to yours, and my electric (no gas here) runs 60 to 80 dollars a month. Building provides heating and cooling. You can call ComEd and request the historical usage amounts for your new place before you move. That will give you an idea, although your usage will vary from the previous resident's. Others It all depends on how much gas you use, if its just cooking gas or do you have to heat your own apartment, if you burn your light all night and day if you watch TV all night, the light bill is very seldom at a high price, but the gas bill can run you pretty high in the winter months. |
