It will tell you your exact distance. 10 I believe it's 8 blocks...because every city block is 1/8 of a mile. Just something I know. depends on the block size, but i've heard anywhere from 8 to 13. This question has been answered a number of times but here it is: Some blocks are smaller than others especially in the loop. However every 800 in addresses is a mile. Therefore Chicago Ave (which is 800 North) South to Madison st. (which is 0) is a mile and going North....to 1600 (which is North Ave.) is a mile the other direction. And just for fun, odd addresses are on the East and South and evens are on the West and North. |
