I am just curious if anyone can tell me approximately how many minutes the elevator ride up is?

The actual trip to the top of the Sears Tower is about 2-3 minutes. However you have to see a quick movie about Chicago before you get to take the elevator to the top, about 10 minutes long.

The speed 1,600 ft. per minute. So you can make up there in less then a minute.. 1450ft is the height of the sears tower.

Well, I haven't been up there, but it's 45 seconds to the top of the Hancock Tower. The Sears can't be much longer. Maybe 1 minute?
It's about 45 seconds. They CRAM about 20-30 people at a time that little teeny elevator.
