I am going Hiking in Starved Rock state park...?

and I was wondering what the best trails are and the best canyons to visit. I want something challenging but beautiful and I couldn't find a lot of information on the website.

St. Louis Canyon is one of our favorites.

But, if you are going on a busy weekend,
you might want to consider a less crowded
alternative for even better hiking - imho

Matthessen State Park is located just south
of Starved Rock - a short drive. & has excellent
canyons & trails.

Enjoy Source(s): Each have great hiking / canyons, but having been to
both, we like Starved Rock for Eating & Matthessen

Horseshoe canyon is great. Lovers leap is wonderful too. Its all pretty good. Hope you enjoy it. There is also an indoor water park in the area. You can have fun there too.
