my friends called me and asked if your allowed to drink on the train in chicago?? any one know if u can?

No....and why would you want to?
drinking is forbidden on the CTA's L tracks, but is allowed on the suburban METRA trains that lead into the city.
Nope, wait til you get off.
You can't drink on the CTA. On Metra, you can usually drink, but not during festival weekends. July 3rd drinking is definitely not allowed.
