Anyone see John Mayer at Taste of Chicago yesterday? |
Travel Info He sounded great on WXRT - we had been there since 11 when it opened, but the crowds/heat/humidity sent us packing back to the 'burbs. We didn't have seats, but were on a blanket and couldn't really see the opening acts anyway? SO - how was it after 5:45 p.m.? Travel Tips He was very good, but actually I was very impressed with the first band on - Rodrigo y Gabriela, I think? Two guitar players, but it sounded like about eight guitars! Others I only saw the very tail end--but it was pretty good! Especially when Buddy Guy came out to join him for the closing song "Sweet Home Chicago." The crowd loved it. I couldn't see anything except from the large screen onstage, since I was pretty far away, but it was fun all the same. |
