What to see in southern Chile?

Travel Info
I will probably go in november to the lake distric. Where do you recommend I stay and what to see there?

Travel Tips
I definetly recommend staying in Puerto Varas. My favourite hotel is Colones del Sur as it has a very tradicional german flavour and it's overlooking the lake and in the city (wlaking distance of everything) From there go in taxi to Frutillar (German settlement museum) and Puerto Octay. If you have some time cross the canal de Chacao and go to the magicla land of Chiloe. You wont regret it.

This is a good question,

you have in the south, the Osorno volcano which is a very very beautiful must see, the Chuquicamata, which is the largest open pit copper mine in the world, very good see also, and dont forget about the hot springs of Mamina and to the Oasis of the Pica Valley.

but what I would prefer, would be to hit up Santiago's red light district and get busted out with a pint of cerveza and party like its 1999.

Stay at "Caba帽as del Lago" close to Puerto Varas, you'll thank me when you wake up with that amazing view of the lake.
Visit Lago de Todos los Santos (were there is a ferry that crosses over to Bariloche in Argentina) and the "Saltos de Petrohue". Frutillar is also very nice, and most of the people that inhabit it are German descendants, so try the pastries.
Used to live in Chile.
