Travel Info Im working in China. My visa will end in Sept.i want 2 go home but boss didnt approve.does he have the right? Travel Tips Not enough information. Please tell us when your contract term expires.. Are you working on L, F Visa? If so, your employment is not legal anyway, and the contract if any, is not enforceable. You should have come to China on a Z-visa,. then went through residence formalities to obtain residence permit. If you are legally working in China, then your contract should clearly state the term of your employment and your employer has no right to make you work longer. Journeyeast.org can help you out if your boss is making threats. They can arbitrate the situation for you at no cost. Email the folks at journeyeast, info@journeyeast.org provide them the details of your situation, the type of visa you have, the expiry, how long you are working in China, and any specific contract details they will need to help you out. Source(s): http://journeyeast.org Teach English in China http://z-visa.com China Visa Service for ESL Teachers Other Travel Tips no and when your visa expires go and just dont renew weather he likes it or not. so what is expiring = your visa, or your working permit or your contract? What does your boss need to approve? Your home leave, or your resignation? A resignation cannot be refused by him. Home leave can. Visa and work permit are/should be paid for by the company. So chances are he is cheap and wants to get 'his investment' in you back :-P if you go home what is your boss going to do, they cannot hold you until Sept. all you have to do is get on the plane and leave, now if you want to return and find another job in the fall you might have some difficulty, but to fix that problem, just get a new tourist visa while you are home, your current visa is terminated and you can come back on a tourist visa and have your new school get you a new visa living and teaching in China long time If you really do not want to go home. Just take a couple ofdays off and go to Hong Kong and get another visa. You do not have to go back to your home country i believe. Take the necessary documents with oyu to Hong Kong, or closeley located country and get a new visa. You can visit Manila very cheaply if oyu fly out of Macau via tiger airways. goood luck. |
