China Business Visa has expired and need to renew? |
Travel Info I'm currently staying in Xiamen and China Visa has expired in February 2007. Can someone advise where is the place to renew? Travel Tips WOW, you are in deep, it is 500 rmb per day fine, I think they do not charge more than 5,000 rmb total, but, I know a guy that had an expired visa, it was longer than yours he spent five unpleasant days in jail, you need to call your consulate or embassy ASAP Others Um, gee, nothing like waiting until they can throw you in jail or kick you out of the country, eh? You shouldn't have slept over such a vital issue,it has created a lot of problems for you. Rush to the local Public Security Bureau's(section that deals with foreigners) and explain to them why this extraordinary delay in your visa renewal.They are the only authority to examine your case,weather to deport you or to impose a penalty and extend/re-new your visa. The American Embassy has no jurisdiction or authority to allow you to stay on in China. |
