What is the death penatly like in china ? |
Travel Info ............ Travel Tips Was an unsuspecting witness to one execution. Once the death penalty has been passed, the convict is driven handcuffed and chained in an open pick-up, guarded by cops, to a large playground or public place. He/ she is then paraded before the crowd and the crime is read out aloud. The prisoner is then made to kneel and a cop pulls out his/ her pistol and fires one round at the back of the head. Another cop checks whether the person is still alive. If yes, two more rounds are fired. The body is then dumped into the same pick-up and taken to a state mortuary. It is kept till relatives or friends of the executed person, pay the cost of the bullets, which is usually a few Renminbis. The prisoner usually appears lifeless when being driven to the execution venue or being paraded and is propped up by cops and made to walk. And guess how abortions are carried out...if you violate the one-child-per could rule? A lethal injection of strychine or other potent poison is given through the sinciput (the soft part of the head, above the forehead) of the neonate, as it crowns during delivery. It's legal...they say. Others Decapitation, electrocution, firing squad, gas chamber, hanging and lethal injection. To whichever is seen fit by a team of executors which include drowning or such. irrational, unpredictable and unjust. you can get the death penalty for hundreds of offenses, with or without a trial. they can make up a charge, find you guilty and kill you without you even having a chance to deny guilt. I dont know if they shoot, electrocute, hang or whatever, but Im sure they arent nice about it. Exactly like the same way as it is exectued in the USA. The most common method is a bullet in the back of the head. I don't know where other posters got their information about people being paraded around etc., but I can tell you that I have lived in China for close to 2 years already and I have not seen anything like that whatsoever. More so-called 'humane' methods are becoming increasingly popular such as lethal injections, but a bullet in the back of the head still remains the most used method. If you want to ask questions about China, and you want the opinions of Chinese, living in China then may I suggest the following forum: http://www.daxueyingyu.com/forum.... Of course you do not have to stick around once you get an answer, but once you see how warm and friendly the community is, perhaps you will. Oh, and for the record, I am affiliated with http://www.daxueyingyu.com Good luck! :) http://www.daxueyingyu.com/forum... |
