Is ir better to book Hotel Online ?

I 'll be travelling to Hong Kong and i have a tight budget. Is it wise to book online or to see it for myself and find a cheap hotel in Hong Kong ?

Going to Hong Kong I've always found better to book online to get cheaper rates. I went to the Dragon Hotel (I think that was the name) in Mong Kong area once and they said we should have booked online and gotten a cheaper rate. It was definitely a cheap place to stay anyways. You could also check out this site and see if you find something good. Whatever you find, you're sure to save money by booking ahead online.

finding a hotel online is always a great option because often the website or members have rated the hotels. Hotels .com is great for honest ratings and usually has customer reviews that are really candid . They always are more useful than the site review .
I haven't taken a vacation in the last 3 years that wasn't resarched and booked online . i have found that hotwire.com has the best prices , the downside being you don't choose the hotel , just the area and star rating . Priceline also uses this method when you're naming your own price , but you can simply look and book the hotel you want as well. Both have great deals . Hotels .com is great for hotel reviews and pictures of the properties you're interested in , and they also have good deals ...but with Hotels.com I've found that they are best for short notice trips.

It is better to book hotel on-line - the rates are less expensive. At the hotel you will get regular rack rate. the difference will be from 40 to 60 percent.
My family went to Hong Kong last month and we booked our hotel online. It will be cheaper if you do it online. Hotels.com has good rates but we booked our rooms on our hotel's site, parklane.com.hk. They had roughly the same rates as hotels.com though.
