Is 1500 HKD enough for shopping in Hongkong? |
Travel Info I'm from the Philippines and I need to buy a lot of clothes because I'll wear civilian clothes for my college. I need to buy plenty of clothes.. Now, I need a heads-up on how much things cost there because if the clothes there are more expensive than here in the Phils, I'll just shop here.. Those affordable clothes but nice material.. Please tell me some prices for. shirts blouses bags pants some accesories in Hong Kong dollars.. Tell me also where to buy in Kowloon and how to get there. Travel Tips hi, just came fron HK. it depends on the brand that you'd like to buy. if you want to buy branded clothes, it costs hk$80 up.. but if you wanted to buy clothes in ladies market, i'll say go to divisoria, it's cheaper there and the clothes sold there were the same. :D some stores are on sale though, not that much.. if you'll be staying in HK island, you can take the MTR , the island line(blue) then alight at admiralty or central station, there's an interchange to tsuen wan line(orange) ride it then alight wherever you want, may it be mong kok or jordan.. but the prices in mong kok is cheaper than jordan. but, i'll say the cosmetics is cheaper in HK! :D good luck! It's not the sale season right now, so the price there although cheaper than Philippines, but only slight difference. Shirts cost around 50 to 150 HKD Pants around 70 to 350 HKD There are depots though, where you can shop at lower rates, Esprit located at Lady street in Mongkok, ride the MTR. If you want extra bring around 2000 - 3000HKD. Clothes in Giordano and Bossini are quite cheap. Shirts and blouse would probably be around 100 dollars, pants might be a bit more but still quite cheap. |
