How do I purchase an Hong Kong Octupus Card online ? |
Travel Info Is there a URL to go ? I went to their main site but couldn't find any info on how to buy the cards. I'll be visiting Hong Kong for 1 week with my family (3 adults + 3 kids). Source(s): hk mtr website Other Travel Tips try search at Hong Kong tourism website , they have the places , but I remember I bought my at the MTR control station. they have a variable amout to chosse from so I suggest pick the 2nd expensive of course , if you intend to use the MTR alot. if not then use the lowest and spend the rest on shopping and eating espically , (DIM SUM ) There is no website that's selling MTR octopus card. That card you can only buy from any MTR station in HK. The usual amount of card is $50 and $100 for the card prepaid amt. Just go down to MTR (subway) station for purchase of octopus card. You can purchase at the airport also, very easy. There a special tourist card, it may be interesting for you. You can get the Octopus card at the airport arrival hall. It will cost HKD150 being 100 usable value and 50 refundable deposit. You can conveniently top up the value at any MTR stations. You can return the card at the same counter at the airport arrival hall for a refund on the unutilised balance + refundable deposit with a HKD7 handling fee deducted for returning the card within 3 months. uhh i don't think you can buy an octupus card online cuase they need to slide it and crap.. so just go tot he MTR station and buy the card there.. |
