Can anybody tell me how long does a train ride from hong kong to guangzhou takes? |
Travel Info and about how much does the train ticket cost? Travel Tips I have taken it myself, so I am trying to remember. . .I think about 90 min from GZ to Shenzhen, which is not counting the actual waiting for the train (sometimes the trains are running late). Then from Shenzhen you'll have to cross the border and take a different train to HK. That train (#2) takes about 30 min. If you are asking how long the whole trip will take you have to factor walking to immigration from train #1, going through immigration, then walking to train #2. Depending on the time of year the lines at immigration might be long, but they are always shorter for non-Chinese. It is not quite as confusing as it may sound--just follow everyone else and you'll figure out what to do. Price. . .uh, maybe 40 RMB for train #1, and about 25 HKD for #2? I can't remember exactly!! Others 1 hr 50 mins and it is not too expansive, i remember! It takes 2 hours and 190HKD, the ticket. You actually have to debark to pass through immigration in Shenzhen which adds about half hour to the 2 hour+ ride. The cost is around US$25 each way roughly. ( Price listed in HK$ and US$1=HK$7.81 ) If you take a train directly from HK (Hunghom) to Guangzhou, it needs almost 1hour 45 minutes. The fare is HK$190 / HK$230(Premium class).
