What is an average salary for a native English teacher in Hong Kong? |
Travel Info I have a university degree in communications, an 80 hour TEFL certificate, and one month of teaching experience as a volunteer in Thailand. About how much can I expect as a starting salary? Does anyone have any suggestions on jobsearch websites for an ESL teaching position? Or can anyone recommend some schools in Hong Kong to seek employment at? Travel Tips It depends on where you want to work, but my understanding is that Hong Kong is very selective about who gets work permits. I think your best bet would be to apply for the NET scheme. Check these two sites: http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewforum.... http://www.emb.gov.hk/index.aspx?nodeid=... hope this helps! Others I think anywhere from 4 goats to 2 yaks....biweekly. well it depend.....you might get paid like hk$5250...so in american money mabe about 750.....but it depend where you work and how long. that just the average.....well good luck...oh yeah how i know is that im from hong kong....you'll love it there. I have been to china several time. I found a very good site for most of my questions. www.itsaboutchina.com Check it out. You might want to check out the mainland and the area around Yangshuo. I taught there and got $700 to $1000 a month personal |
