most people call it chinese tamales and i've seen it called that in chinese-american supermarkets
Chinese dumplings. Glutinous rice mixed with beans, pork, salted egg, water chestnuts and mushroom. It is then wrapped in bamboo leaves and boiled in hot boiling water for several hours.
