Are Mainland Chinese men embarrass about their women? |
Travel Info I am a Mainland Chinese man, born and bred in Shanghai. I have been reading a lot about our Shanghainese women "bad and loose behaviour" on this forum and I was really embarrass and disgusted. Can anyone else from Mainland China tell me how was your reactions to those people, especially the foreigners talking about the women? Are our Chinese women, especially those from Shanghai "slutty" as claimed by white men? Travel Tips NO! they are happy they have a pick of so many women because there is such a shortage of men in China... Others 鐬庡瓙鍚炴堡鍦嗗績閲屾湁鏁般€? As an overseas half Chinese living in Mainland China, Chinese men are generally proud of their wives. I have also observed that Chinese elsewhere regard Shanghainese as flashy, show-offs; snobbish and arrogant to their country folks. This is an attitude problem due to past historical experiences with foreigners. It is inaccurate to cast Shanghai women as "slutty". You should also consider where these "white men" get acquainted with the women - mostly in night entertainment places. A woman working the clubs is dressed to kill. So why be bothered with a "white man's term?" These are the same white men who look for sex adventure overseas, go home to their wives and girlfriends to attend to their children. Some may even go to church on Sunday. China has opened its doors to western culture - good and bad - for more than 20 years now. Century-old traditions will inevitably be eroded especially among the young and the majority of Chinese. It's going to get worse!! Though I'm not a man, but I can tell you, most married men I met in here and there in China are kind of proud of their wives, in a certain way, they respect them. Some even because their wives got the MBA or earn more money than they do, it became the motivation of leading them (men's ego) to get back to Universities to get the MBA or PhD so that they can achieve higher goals in their career! So, my answer to your question is, no! On the other hand - what I see in my family, my father is proud of his wife (my mom) because she is clever and she was a real stunning beauty who also was a smart business owner. My mom has 5 sisters, 4 out of my 5 uncles are also proud of their wives because 3 of them are very good cook and also 5 of them were well known beauties in school / college or the village when they were young. (The only 1 uncle who is not so proud of his wife because he was the tallest and the best looking one out of all his brother-in-laws and his wife - my fifth aunt was not as beautiful as my mom and the prettiest one - my second aunt + my fifth aunt doesn't really know much about cooking, however, she's a nurse.) I'm from a Cantonese family, so I guess, Cantonese are different from Shanghainese. I'm not so sure. But I know some Shanghainese girls who are from good families and they are totally nice and decent who are not as what the other have "bad-mouthed" here. There are always goods and bads in everywhere. Why people have to be so judgmental? well frankly speaking.,.,i have seen and read a lot of comments about chinese women precisely.,.,maybe because they thought that being a foreigner have a lot fo money and they thought that they have seen a bar of gold.,,Maybe .,.,but dont generalize them all.,., LETS PRAY FOR EVERYTHING I am not a Chinese man but a white man living and working in Shanghai right now. As far as I am concern, MOST of the Shanghainese women (those that I knew so far) are slutty and very materialistic. These women are only good for heating my bedsheets. Sorry to burst your bubble!!! Trust me, most of these women are career women and are educated. They can speak English quite well too. Not all those "slutty" women some people claimed here are from bars or night clubs. Majority are career women working for big companies but STILL they act slutty and also very promiscuous to any expat men. They are good for a short flings or affair while it lasts. |
