Is it true that in china,if a girl has twins, they will kill one? |
Travel Info thats what i heard......... . . . . . . . ...... . . Travel Tips I have heard almost the same thing. Boys are supposedly wanted more than girls and so they will kill the baby girls to cut back the population. My friends mom actually just adopted a baby chinese girl to prevent it from being killed. As far as twins, I'm not sure if that is true or not!! Others yeah i know this to be true. i wrote a paper on it for my social sciences class and while i was doing my research, i came across some pretty disturbing pictures. some of these little girls are just tossed on the street where bikes and cars just drive past them without even minding. Killing girls is not about the population...in China they have the 'one child policy' so you only get one chance to raise a child. Most families want a boy so the family name will be carried on hence girls being abandoned. Though, if you have a girl as your first child and you live in a certain area/have enough money, you can try for a second child. As for twins, I think twins are naturally rare in China and you must be able to keep both, you have no control over how many children you have naturally at one time, though you do have control over how many times you get pregnant and bare children. No, but the parents can receive a fine. its not true they use to do that before a long time ago now they put it up for adoption. and yes it is tru to many chinese ppl boys are better since they carry on the family name even when they get married but girls have to change their last names once they are married. even tho that is still rlly wrong thats jjust how they think. and now u have to pay extra if u have more than 2 kids. like a tax sorta wow I don't think so...i heard you have to pay a fine or something.... |
