Do mangos have bad chi? |
Travel Info my chinese mom says that mangos have "yeet hay" which literally translates into hot air. somehow a mango has this "hot air" and is unhealthy. is this true? Travel Tips I suggest you eat mangos, which a full of vitamins, and pay no attention to these theories. I know that chinese eat a lot of meat which comes from any kind of animal, even snakes, apes, sharks etc, which are being killed without pitty just for the pleasure of taste... Aren't these ones considered to have "yeet hay" or anything? Others No because on Seinfeld George Castanza was a new man once he started eating mangos No. I'm Chinese and my whole family is Chinese. These are just old stories, myths or superstitions that are passed down from generation to generation. These are just told because this is what they were told when they were young. My parents tell me that eating with chopsticks with your index finger pointing at someone will cause you to have bad luck. Just superstitions, nothing more. Interesting. You asked whether they have bad chi, and I think your mother answered that question for you. Now, whether or not they are scientifically proven to be unhealthy : not that I've ever heard in my life. Ask her what the figurative translation is. You'll find out more about why the hot air is perceived to be bad. Honestly, not to be too comical, my first thought was gas. Mangos can definitely give you that ... maybe she is afraid of sin joy nga... strings in your teeth.... hahahaha! its an interesting notion, although i don't think its true. Mangos are considered medicinal by the Hindus. I think they are very good for you. MAy be what your mom means is that too much mangos puts too much hot chi into your liver. In that case just have some. |
