Travel Info If you have ever travelled to Hong Kong, do you like or dislike the city and why? Travel Tips Loved it! It may seem like a lot of Western cities, but there truly is no other city like it in the world. As mentioned before, the shopping is magnificent. Have fun! Others yes i like the city. its just so convinient you can go out at 12 o'clock at night and still get things done! Yes, it is a beautiful city. I go back during the summer to relax and visit friends and family. I liked the city a lot. It is very similar to New York City with all the sky-scrapers. There is also great food and great shopping. If you like shopping, you will like Hong Kong. The stuff they sell there, it is almost the same price as in America. I don't like the housing in hong kong. Rooms are too small. I absolutely loved it! It has this amazing blend of Eastern and Western Cultures! You can find Western restaurants like McDonald's, Burger King, KFC, etc. next to traditional tea houses and traditional Chinese restaurants. In Hong Kong, there are tons of shopping places, from uptown shopping malls to flea markets and night markets, and you can shop anywhere and stll find good deals. One of the best kept secrets of Hong Kong is its hiking. Even though Hong Kong is known to be a world city, it still offers breathtaking nature scenery and hiking! Try to go to the outlying islands like Lantau Island, Lamma Island and Cheung Chau and see what I mean. Also, the Hong Kong skyline from the Peak Tower is one of the most recognizable in the world. Some say it IS the best in the world! Overall, you can't beat Hong Kong! I love it! |
