Is it harder to break into the acting and modeling industry in Japan, China, or America? |
Travel Info Is it harder to break into the acting and modeling industry in Japan, China, or America? Travel Tips In addition to my comments on your other question, remember this: over 50% of the print models I see in China (billboards, malls, magazines, etc.) are white. Most of these models have never set foot in China, yet they're making tons of money 'as a model in China.' From what I've heard this is the same in Japan. These countries "import" their modeling from the West. As an American model, you would have access to both Chinese and Japanese markets, whereas the amount of exposure a Chinese or Japanese model gets in America is miniscule. Actress Joan Chen was already established in China when her family moved to America, and she had to start over completely. Now everyone in China knows her because of her work in Hollywood. Everyone pays close attention to America and Hollywood. Hollywood does not pay that much attention to China or Japan. Source(s): I've lived in Hollywood and China Other Travel Tips I'd say america. I would say America. Because American actors are mostly known around the world and mostly they're acting looks REAL!! No offense against China and Japan. Secondly i would say Japan Then i would say China:) I would think it would be easier to break into that in the other countries because so many people in America are trying to get a job in that feild. I know becuase one of my relatives tried and she never really made it. I tried doing some commercial work here in Canada and it was very hard and the pay was not well compensated. Personal experience. |
