Question about China? |
Travel Info My GF went to China 2 weeks ago with her family for vacation. I haven't gotten a phone call or email from her and was a little worried. I know they went to Beijing, Xian, and other places. My question is this, is it really hard to call the US or email the US from China? Travel Tips International calling is a breeze! Just crack open the FRONT of your phonebook, and it will explain everything you need to know to you. Chances are REALLY good that the first person who greets you over-the-phone will be able to speak to you in English too! Just be sure that you have her number! *laughter* Others Go, Gators! if your girlfriend is part of a website such as myspace or others, she is able to email you. calling is way too expensive unless she doesn't care. however, this only works in major provinces, if she is visiting any rural areas, it is that much more difficult to reach the US. email is the most practical way of communicating, unless she doesnt have access to it. I'm guessing you're worried about them? I'm sure they're fine if they're part of a tour group. If she brought her laptop with her, most hotels in China have free internet access in the rooms or computers in their lobbies. If she was unlucky enough to book at a hotel that doesn't have internet access, it may be a pain to find an internet cafe in China. But she should be able to call the US from her hotel phone with no problem. Maybe they're just having so much fun that they're not thinking about the people at home. Are there any other relatives that you can get in touch with to see if they've contacted them since they've left? It's not hard to call and e-mail the US at all in China. Not at all. maaybe she just wants to spend time with her family, so she........forgot you. HA |
