5 stars on the flag of the PRC? |
Travel Info Could someone, please, explain the meaning of the 5 stars which are in Gold and the meaning of the colours of the flag, Gold and Red? Thank-you. I Cr 13;8a Travel Tips According to Carol P. Shaw in the book Flags (Running Press), the red of the flag is the traditional color of revolution; the large gold star represents "the Common Program of the Communist Party"; and the smaller gold stars represent the four classes united by the common program: the workers, the peasants, the petty bourgeois, and capitalists sympathetic to the Party (or "patriotic capitalists"). Source(s): http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/iso31... Other Travel Tips The big star stands for Communist Party of China, the 4 small stars represent people with all nationalities in Chinese territory to be united around the Party. As you may know that there are 56 nationalities living together in China. The red really stands for Chinese revolution as well as triumph. |
