Is there any where we can ski in New Zealand in May?

Sorry but I dont know of anywhere in New Zealand that will guarantee skiing in May. Some of the skifields have been known to open in late May but my understanding is that this year June is the projected opening date (e.g. in the South Island, Mt Hutt - June 10; Coronet Peak - June 10; The Remarkables - June 24.) The North Island ski fields tend to open after those in the south. Even the heliski companies up at Mount Cook seem to be offering trips from June only. |
