Where is it better to live northern Kentucky or Cincinnati? |
Travel Info Moving to area I wanted to know if it was better to live in Ohio or Kentucky? Travel Tips Okay I was reading these responses and decided to give a little more input... I don't know wheather your single or what but I just moved to Cincinnati from Lawrenceburg IN. and I had to make the same decision. Lawrenceburg is relatively close to Cincinnati but I wanted to be a little closer to work. Here's what I found... Cincinnati has it's pros and cons. The cons being some of the areas are rather scary but it's affordable housing (again I don't know your spending limit either) I was looking for a one bedroom and the bad neighborhoods ran between $500-$700. But if you want to spend some money on a nice place in Cincinnati, it's well worth it. Some of the nicer neighborhoods around Cincinnati are Indian Hill, Mt. Adams, Eden Park, Hyde park but you'll be lucky to find a one bedroom for $1,000, but your going to get what you pay for. Whatever you do STAY AWAY from over-the-rhine, Price Hill, Northside... I lived in Northern Kentucky for a bit when going to NKU. It is 10 minutes away from downtown and it is very nice. Highland Heights, (some parts of) Newport and Covington are mostly nice. The bad thing about the area is everything is usually more expensive because the universities are so close. Your next option is to move to Indiana. Depending on how far you are willing to commute. It's really not that bad, their is barely any traffic coming from there. It's about a 20-25 minute drive downtown. I grew up in Lawrenceburg, like I said and it is super nice, has one of the best school districts in IN and it's very affordable. Personally I think you are going to get the most from your money there. I just wanted to give you my opinion since I have lived in all three areas and I would definately say that Lawrenceburg is the best out of all three. If you need anymore help or have any questions that I can help with you can email me at kristinalstewart@yahoo.com. I know how hard it is to move to a place that you know absolutely nothing about.
