It's a cute little crafty town. I wouldn't recommend taking men or small children, unless they are really patient and well behaved. However, if they must come along there is a train they can ride and a horse drawn canal ride (a boat pulled by horses) that can keep them from complaining too much. Everything in Metamora is typically CLOSED on Mondays, which I did not know on my first trip (kind of a let down after driving 2 hours). Have a good time.
