In Covington you should check out the Mainstrasse, it is a street of mostly bars and restaurants. A particular favorite of mine is the C0ck & Bull, they have quite good food and a good beer selection. If you are looking for a little more upscale type of place head on over to Newport on the Levee, which is just on the other side of Covington coming from I-75. There they have some great restaurants including but not limited to Tropicana, Brio, Hoffbrahaus (not so upscale, but very fun with a group) and more.
