Where is the best place to go camping in the Cincinnati/Kentucky area?

Travel Tips
i agree with heuston woods, it's about an hour north of downtown. also, if your looking for somewhere a little closer, miami whitewater forest is a county park(hamilton) that has lots to do and is only about 30 min. southwest of downtown. if you're looking to go backcountry, the closest place i can think of right now is the red river gorge, that is part of the daniel boone nat'l forest. it is about 45 south (and east i think) of lexington ky. about a 2 hour drive total from downtown cinci. Source(s): been there, done that....
