Travel Info I Need a place to go/something to do for my October Vacation. Something within 6 hour drive of Lexington KY? Travel Tips Now this is my personal what I would do in October within 6 hours of Lexington, Ky. I would get on I64 going east into West Virginia. Once I got to Charleston I would take I79 going north. Go maybe an hour and then take any exit. Turn east and get lost. I'd make sure I had a full tank of gas and just drive around the roads through the mountains enjoying the fall colors. Not caring which road I take, just feel the urge and turn. Eventually you'll get to a small town where you'd be able to buy gas, motel, store. In fact some friends and I are going to do just that only we are going up to the Finger Lake region in central New York State. We are taking off Sept. 29th with no idea which roads we'll take. I'm doing the driving so whichever road I feel like taking. Just kick back and enjoy the view. |
