What is recommended for a girl's weekend in Cleveland or Cincinnati in January or February? |
Travel Info 4-5 women, all in 40's looking for a fun weekend - shopping, spas, restaurants and fun nightlife that isn't all 20-something meat-markets!! Travel Tips In the Cincinnati area I would actually recommend going across the river into Northern Kentucky, it has the same feel but is actually alot safer than downtown Cincy. As far as bars and nightlife Newport on the Levee in Newport KY is a GREAT place to go, it has several bars like cater to all age ranges, there is also the Hofbrauhaus that is a great time, it's right across the street from the levee, it also has a fun mix of people. Covington KY also has Mainstrasse Village which has several bars and very popular nightspots all within a block walking distance of each other Downtown Cincinnati has some pretty good shopping at Tower Place Mall, as well as specialty shops. For resteraunts try local favorites such as LaRosa's Pizza, and Skyline Chili, there is also 2 Jeff Ruby's resteraunts in the area, as well as Montgomery Inn, they serve great ribs.Fountain Square has Rock Bottom Brewery, and the levee I mentioned above has a great Irish Pub. And if you are looking for something else completely different and don't mind a short drive there are a couple of casinos in Southeastern Indiana within a 35 minute drive from downtown. I personally recommend Grand Victoria Casino in Rising Sun IN. Source(s): http://www.mainstrasse.org/ http://newportonthelevee.com/ http://www.hofbrauhausnewport.com/... Other Travel Tips |
