Travel Info Why are the taxes and fees so high on renting a car? any suggestions for the best deals/companies? Travel Tips I don't know why except because they can! Hertz and Avis are probably the worse..don't understand why their rates are twice as much as most others. I have been having extreme good luck with Enterprise, not at the airport but at their 'neighborhood' locations. And the rates are generally less online than if you contact them via phone or walk-in. They even tell you the location closest to you if you type in your zip code! They are about $100 +/- than Hertz or Avis. But if you are traveling by air and need a car at your location, still book online...either include in with your ticket, most travel sites give you a discount when you reserve the car with your ticket purchase, or again book online directly from the site. |
