Travel Tips
If it is raining or too hot outside you will want an indoor option. The best place indoors for kids is the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal. It has a Children's Museum, an Omnimax Theater, and a Natural History Museum complete with replica dinosaurs.

Outdoors, there are some nice options. A low-cost alternative to the previous suggestions would be the city parks and riverfront area. Eden Park has an overlook with several beautiful ponds. Children love the ducks that live at the ponds, and a public playground is right next to this area. Eden Park is located next to Mt. Adams, about a two miles east of downtown.

Below Mt. Adams are a series of parks on the riverfront, which offer open spaces and generally a relaxing atmosphere. Across the river in Newport, you'll find a more active setting. The Newport-on-the-Levee complex includes the Aquarium, movie theater, ice cream shop, and several restaurants including Dewey's Pizza.

If you are interested in amusement parks, then the Beach Waterpark in Mason, Ohio is great. Coney Island (featuring Sunlight Pool) is wonderful, and there is always Kings Island (though it's expensive). Most children would enjoy the Cincinnati Zoo as much as Kings Island.

As a kid, I always liked to go swimming. And it didn't have to be anything fancy, even a hotel pool was awesome in my childhood outlook.
Others
Museums, Cincy zoo (the best around), King's Island just to name a few. If you can get a little south the Newport Aquarium in Ky.
kings island...i went there when i was around six and when i was eight...i liked the little kid area
been there about 6 or 7 times
By all means, Go to Coney Island or Ice Skating Arena.
Your children will love it.
Cincinnati Zoo, Kings Island
The art museum in Eden park has scavenger hunts that my children enjoy. The Crone conservatory is in Eden park as well. It is beautiful. Bonus--both are free.
