Would Great Wolf Lodge be a good trip for a couple- both 22 years old? Or is the park too kiddy? |
Travel Info Me and my Fiance were looking to take a trip for our anniversary. Great Wolf Lodge would be good, because my fiance has sun sensitivity and outdoor waterparks are not very pleasant. I also saw that they have suites called the Whirlpool Fireplace Suite, which obviously have a whirlpool and fireplace, and 1 king size bed. Sounds good so far......however I have read some things online that the park is not well suited for people our age, and is only good for parents to take their children. Anyone who has been there, would we enjoy the time there or should we just find a regular hotel which will be cheaper and do other stuff around cincy? Travel Tips I have been there, yes it is kiddy.... I'm 36 and I had a great time! I would do some checking on that place, I read recently that they have had an on going problem with some type of virus in their facility. Numerous people got real sick... It was on the local news website. Check out this place... It is just outside of Cincinnati. http://www.wildwood-inn.com/default.aspx... You may have a little kiddy after a weekend there! Others Too kiddy and too expensive! I would find a more romantic ,less expensive getaway and go shopping at some of the great malls and to the eateries in Cinc. instead. The Great Wolf Lodge is making negative publicity with people getting sick after swimming in the pools. I think a lot of children enjoy the pool and it is more for children. Have you thought of a bed and breakfast place or rent out a room/suite in a hotel that overlooks the downtown skyline? I haven't been there, but my son who is 19 has. He had fun, but he did say there are TONS of small children there. Would you consider driving to Florence, KY? It's only 20 minutes south of Cincinnati. The Wildwood Inn has "theme suites" and alot of them have jacuzzis in the room. They also have an indoor pool. Just my opinion, but I think this would be way more romantic. I guess it just depends if you want peace & quiet with just the two of you or if you are looking for more to do & more people around. Either way.....have fun!!! |
