Which is nicer....COLUMBUS or DAYTON? |
Travel Info Which is nicer....COLUMBUS or DAYTON? Travel Tips I hate to say this but Columbus is nicer than Dayton. On Daytons positive side, they have The Greene a nice shopping, resturant and bar area. Other than that you are going to find yourself bored in Dayton. Jobs are leaving, the schools cant pass a levy and there is not an abundant number of nice places to live. Dont even think about going downtown. Columbus has more shopping, more events, more activities, and more nice housing. It is a young professional haven. It is still growing and has a lot of new contruction. If you wanna hit dayton then its an hour away and cincy is 1.5 hours. Both cities suburbs are nice, Daytons city is not good at all, Others DAYTON BABY!! It depends on if you like a bigger city or a smaller one. Dayton is smaller but is also a nice place to live in. I lived there for 6 years. Columbus has Ohio State, the Easton Mall, and the Columbus Blue Jackets hockey team. I think Columbus has more diverse people partially due to Ohio State being there. I think Columbus is nicer than Dayton. Columbus has more to offer in my opinion. Columbus still has the small time feel with more to do. Dayton is OK, but I don't think Dayton is investing in it's own city as much as Columbus is. Columbus is always trying to improve. Ohio Resident I live in the Dayton area & I think it's a nice place to live. It is also nice in that it is only about a 50-60 minute drive to Cincinnati or Columbus. So, if you want to enjoy the museums, zoos and such in those cities, Dayton is in a good location bewteen the two. Columbus has way more to offer. I think, also, that it has more "nice" parts to it than does Dayton. |
