Is there really so much violence in ciudad juarez? |
Travel Info i went to ciudad juarez last december but it wasnt so bad. Everybody keeps saying that ppl rape there a lot and kill too. But i dnt knw i did see someone dead on my trip over there but not all over ciudad juarez. It has it's upsides too but why do they keep referring to juarez as a REALLY VIOLENT place??? Travel Tips I live in El Paso, right next to Ciudad Juarez.....Back in the 80's it WAS the gateway to drug trafficking to the US...The Juarez cartels were at war, a lot of innocent people were being gunned down....Also, they were finding dead young girls in the desert, they had a serial killer, or several, killing these girls once a week.....From this came its reputation....The mayor and local govt. really has cleaned up the city.....You don't see as much violence anymore and the city is actually cleaned up, no more graffiti....It has grown like crazy....And fortunately, the violence has gone down....
