How long is car ride 2 clevealnd from NYC? |
Travel Info ya wer planiing trip 2 rock n roll hall of fame, wer decideing driving or plane Travel Tips I've done it several times. Just hop on Interstate 80 and head across Pennsylvania, which is a big state. It's about 460 miles. Depending on how you drive, should take around 8 hours. Others 8-10 hours? try mapquest or yahoo maps www.mapquest.com try airlines and cleveland growth association and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to see if they have any package deals the toll free number is 888-764-7625 and website is www.rockhall.com.Have a great time!!!! 7-8- hours Well I have made the drive, and it isn't bad. I found the drive through PA to be pretty at times, but the truck stops a little frightening. Hopkins a nice airport to fly into in my opinion. You'd probably have the best luck flying to Cleveland out of Newark with Continental. If you are only in town for a weekend, then getting around town without a car isn't much of a problem. You can walk to get around downtown- it is compact, clean, safe, fun, etc. To get to some other neighborhoods and attractions you really need to visit you can probably use RTA to reach. On the other hand getting around with a car in Cleveland is no problem. Traffic is light, streets are easy to navigate, there is abundant parking, all day parking in lots/garages rarely costs over $12, and many places offer valet, which is very cheap too. If you are spending more much more than a three day weekend in Cleveland then you will probably need a car to get places that RTA does not reach. Don't just come to Cleveland to see the Rock Hall!!! The city is has a lot to see and do, although it isn't quite obvious. Cleveland is also a fantastic deal. Hotels, restaurants, bars, parking, concerts, and museums are all very cheap and good quality. Cleveland is to the United States like Prague or Krakow is to Europe; kind of off the tourist radar, but fascinating, and excelently priced. Downtown you should also visit Tower City, Public Square, Warehouse District (W.6th St.), the Arcade, Civic Center, E.4th St. You should also visit University Circle where all the museums are located, Little Italy (thriving and not dwindling like NYC's) and maybe Coventry Village (a bit like Greenwhich Village). Definately go to Ohio City (W.25th) and see the West Side Market, because I don't think NYC has anything like the West Side Market. |
