Can I get my social security ID even if i live-abroad of America ?

I was born in Ohio and I have a USpassport. is their any avilabilty to issue my ID from the American Embassy in Cairo where I live now.

go to the social security website http://www.ssa.gov/ they hae numbers for you to call if you can't find the answer on the site. otherwise take a holiday to any major US city and walk in and get one!

Yep, we got my son's passport from the American Embassey in Amsterdam.
