OK, in Akron, Ohio, there is a hotel called the Crowne Plaza Quaker Square Hotel. It is the former oatmeal factory of Quaker oats. Now it is a little mall with a hotel and pool and the best part...your room is in the grain silo. All the hotel rooms are round, and they are done up very nicely, and you get free oatmeal cookies. What could be more American than Quaker Oatmeal? Also, you could show him the Ohio State campus, or go to the Rock n' Roll hall of fame, or drive around Amish country. In northeast ohio there is a small town called boston mills. It has a small ski resort with afforable lessons if you dont know how to ski/snowboard. For this, on sunday nights, its only 25 dollars for everything. Boston Mills also has a beautiful train that runs through that you can get rides on. Cleveland has the Brown's. They are pretty bad but its a taste of cleveland. Hudson Ohio is beautiful and have historical shops and that stuff. Chagrin Falls is the same way. Try |
