Nice cities to live in around Mentor? |
Travel Info What are nice surrondong cities to live in around Mentor Ohio? Travel Tips Well first of all, there are a ton of suburbs in Cleveland, and many nice places to choose from. Mentor is on the East Side and on the Lake. It is a nice suburb but nothing too special and not necessarily the most desirable. I think you'd be best choosing a community just south of Mentor down I-271. This area is loosely referred to the Heights region and Chagrin Highlands region. Shaker Heights, University Heights, South Euclid, Beachwood, Mayfield Heights, Lyndhurst, Pepper Pike, Highland Heights, Gates Mills, Moreland Hills, and some of the communities around these ones mentioned. They have some of the best public school districts, a number of elite private schools, shopping, and they are among the most desirable. Shaker Heights, University Heights, and South Euclid are a little older, but very beautiful distinguished homes, and have a ton of character. Beachwood, Mayfield Heights, and Lyndhurst are not quite as old; kind of mid-century, but homes have been kept up very nice and remain extremely desirable. Highland Heights, Pepper Pike, Gates Mills, Moreland Hills, and many other smaller communities in between and around them are very nice suburbs that take advantage of the scenic landscape of hills, forests, and creeks. These prestigeous communities are more designed to be like a collection of country estates rather than traditional suburban neighborhoods. Realty One and Smythe Cramer Howard Hanna are among the largest real estate agencies. Browsing their websites directly for home listings in those recommended communties are your best bet to get an idea about them. Others Avon, Avon Lake, possibly Solon (not too familiar with it) Cleveland Heights, Painesville and Geneva. Lots of places really, I think it just depends on what you are looking for. We looked at houses in Mentor. it was nice but we moved to Medina which is close to Cleveland but it is a really nice city! Yeah, the difference between Avon and Mentor is like 50 miles. One is east (Mentor) and one is west (Avon). East side sucks. Don't know or wanna know anything about it. Painesville concord |
