Is this the best route to Cleveland? |
Travel Info We're taking a road trip from Miami to Cleveland. We're planning to take 95 all the way to 71 to Ohio. When I last posed the question it was suggested that I take 75 to Cincinatti. Why is that a better route? Is our route not so good? Travel Tips 95 isnt bad we drove south on that route then came back 75. 75 seemed a bit faster but we also drove through hurricane hanna on the way down...that mighta made a difference. Id take 75 to 71 then once you hit 71 use all the bypasses unless you hit the cities after any rush hour you can get stuck in columbus for hours. Happy Driving ...watch out in Tenn. those Highway patrol guys can be brutal. Friendly but brutal. Others it is about the same mileage.so won't matter much. The only difference I can really think of is that the traffic may be worse going the 95 route. But the only time I've ever been on 95 was trying to find freakin Daytona Beach at 4 a.m. 75, however, is a straight shot from Florida to Ohio. get on yahoo maps and do a search, it will give you directions the fastest way and right to the address you are going to. however, when i went to Florida from Cleveland I went through Cincinnati, look at a map and you will find the best route. Good luck and have a safe trip. God bless I-75 is as straight a shot as you can get, I think. Get yourself from Miami to I - 75, and just get off at the sign that says Cleveland. Try to avoid Atlanta and Cincinnati at rush hour. Other than that, it's pretty smooth sailing. 2 full days drive. Expect that. Stop near Chattanooga (10 miles BEFORE (south) of Chattanooga, there are many motels), that is about the half way point. its about the same Take I-95 to I-77 |
