Why do people call Cleveland "the mistake on the lake"? |
Travel Info I bet it's because you are all just jealous that we have a lakeview and you all don't!! Anyone who calls Cleveland a mistake on the lake is just a big boozer poozer. Urban legend has described it as a dead lake, but both sport and commercial fishing have continued without interruption to the present day. Pollution from Cleveland and other Ohio cities had so contaminated this tributary of Lake Erie with petrochemicals that it actually caught on fire. Source(s): wikipedia Other Travel Tips Well, as a future citizen of Cleveland, I have been doing a lot of research on snow fall and Cleveland real estate (I am a San Diego native) and have found that the closer you are to the lakes, the more snow you will get! So, I doubt that jealousy is the factor versus people not wanting nine months of winter. Personally, we are trying to live closer to Akron to avoid this! Future Clevelander! I lived in Cleveland Ohio for 37 1/2 years.I know what it is about.I gave birth to 6 kids.Just moved recently.Tired of dumb teachers that is making kids dumb.Tired of adults and teens who thinks its ok to hit on any little kid walking down the street.Tired of all the drugs,shootings,stabbings,figh... of the fact that whites and blacks will never get along no matter what.Cleveland is over ran with **** roaches and rats.I did not have them but most in Cleveland does.I moved from Cleveland Ohio in July of this year and never looked back.The only good thing in Cleveland Ohio is Dick Goddard.What lakeview are you talking about? The one that is green,black,brownish color depending how mucky it is? If that the lake you are talking about you can keep it.I moved from W.95th and Detroit.Thats right on the lake.Those who went to Cleveland on vacation should not comment because you have no idea what its like till you live there.I mean put your kids in the schools there.Work there.Walk the streets there day and night.Of course you likes the museums but thats not living there. Because they don't live there and wanted to make something funny about Cleveland that rhymed. |
