Where to stay and what to do in Cleveland, Ohio? |
Travel Info I am going to Cleveland for a Kenny Chesney Concert in July, I want to stay close to the Browns Stadium. Where is a good place to stay? I don't need anything upscale I'm only there for a night, but I also don't want to feel like I should have just stayed in my car. Also I want to know some good place to go after the concert, bars, clubs, dance clubs, whatever has music for dancing and alcohol. Thanks! Travel Tips Go to the rock n' roll hall of fame nearby. Even if you aren't really into rock, there are many interesting exhibits that illustrate how rock derived from blue, and is often merging with country these days. Next door is a science museum, which is interesting too. The Thristy Parrot is downtown. It was a great landmark for us when we visited and it had great food. You will find many food choices, and outdoor dining, in an area called The Flats (I think). It has every kinds of restuarant and bar you can imagine. Have fun. Others Cave and hunting if you have a car.. try to stay in Independence, down on Rockside Road.. It's only about a 7 minute drive to downtown Cleveland, and it's a much safer, cheaper area with a lot of restaurants around. Have fun! If you stay at the Renaissance downtown, you can walk to everything, including the Browns Stadium, but it's a bit pricy. I believe there is a Holiday Inn near the Lake and Public Square. |
