What's so great about Cleveland?

Travel Info
My husband is from Cleveland, but we currently reside in Indianapolis. I know it's not that great either, but it's my home. He wants to move back home, but I don't know anything about it except what he's shown me. (and from what I see, it's not that great) He hasn't given me any good reason's that make me want to jump up and go (except his family). Can any locals help me make a decision?
Thanks all.

Travel Tips
I've lived here all my life so I don't have a perspective of living somewhere else and wanting to come back.

Cleveland is very diverse. Many different people and neighborhoods. Certain areas are predominantly certain cultures. So you will find a place where you fit in.

Cleveland has a lot to do. And if it isn't in Cleveland, it's not that far away.

Everyday, friendly people.

Big city atmosphere, small town unity and community.

We are very passionate about our sports teams.

Great park systems, great colleges, great schools (suburban schools, inner city schools do have negative issues), great place for family.

With any place you go there's the good and the bad. The number one thing I think is bad about Cleveland are the winters. But if you can get through that there's a lot of good here that can outweigh the winter blahs.

Not from Cleveland but I have family there. I really like it. It's a big city with all the big city stuff - but it isn't overwhelming like some cities can be. Pretty easy to get around, laid back atmosphere.
Not a bad place.
Great place to lay down roots and raise a family. Reasonable cost of living. Plenty to do. An unrivaled parks system. The people are friendly. A diverse collection of suburbs. No traffic problems. Lake Erie.
It has all the amenities you would expect of a city, and not just the number of amenities but the quality as well. Great museums, sports venues, dining, hospitals, libraries, entertainment, theater, hospitals, festivals, recreation, etc. Shopping is pretty good too with major shopping centers and boutique districts. But the really great part of Cleveland is its neighborhoods. There are so many different neighborhoods, new and old, suburban and urban. In terms of things to do and places to live, Cleveland is very diverse. There are places for everyone, you really just have to know where to look. I've never known someone who actually knows the city well who doesn't enjoy it.
I never lived in Cleveland (I'm from southwestern Ohio- not living there now, though) but I visited a few times. Honestly, I don't know much about housing, but the rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum is there, with Cedar Point nearby, and a Hard Rock Cafe. It's a really fun place to visit. Not sure how fun it would be to live there, though.

On a personal note, though, I think I'd rather live outside of Cleveland, rather than in the actual city :) But I agree with you- I am not sure there's much of a reason to want to live there unless it's where you grew up.
